PO: Tell me about yourself and why you are the right person for this job?

Ibe: I am very passionate Nigerian who believes in the empowerment of the vibrant youth. My vision is to effectively serve my people and consequently provide them with a better quality of life. My extensive travel around the world has made me appreciate the need to provide citizens with the basic necessities of life such as, clean water, Electricity, good health care, good road network and good education. In my opinion, the most effective ways to empower a person is by providing these basic necessities. I understand that an appointment as a constituent representative means i am the people’s voice, in other words a “public servant” I must ensure the people voice is heard and their needs met. My primary aim is to deliver quality public service to my people. I will explore every possible means available to ensure my people and I build a better community together.

PO: Tell me about your formative years particularly your Secondary School, how was it for you?

Ibe: I attended Federal Government College Okigwe, which I must confess was not my preferred choice. As the last born of my family, my father insisted he wanted me to attend a school that will help build character. As you are probably aware boarding school life is very tough, i had to learn to adapt very quickly to the various survival strategies and infact create new ones myself it was the survival of the fittest.  Indeed, the bedrock of my character was laid in FGC Okigwe through lifelong friendships made and unforgettable experiences we shared which has impacted my life positively.

PO: What would you consider to be some of the best attributes of your professional career, and how might these attributes be of value towards future endeavours?

Ibe: I graduated with two degrees in Accounting and International Business from the University of North London. I further advanced my career having worked actively in various financial sectors both home and abroad. With the knowledge garnered through my extensive work experience, I will be engaging in opportunities to help my constituency and Abia State as whole exchange our goods and services among individuals and businesses in multiple countries. Abia state is naturally blessed with a number of resources which can be used to generate more income to help rebuild my state and my community.

PO: What was the inherent feeling that made you decide to apply yourself to public service?

Ibe: My decision to run for public service ultimately is to help better the lives of my constituents because I know we deserve better and know we can get better. The living condition of most of my people is below poverty level. I have experienced first hand a case of how farmers were unable to carry their goods into town to sell due to bad road network which particularly during the raining season is not commutable.

PO: Unemployment in general, is like the mark of the plague in our society presently. But youth employment illuminates the pernicious distinction of the adulterated evolution of generations to come. How do you plan to correct this unacceptable status for your constituents?

Ibe: I will engage in opportunities to help exchange our goods and services among individuals and businesses in multiple countries, this i believe will open up job opportunities for the youths. I will also create incentives to support farmers with their business. We are naturally blessed with a number of resources which can be used to generate more income to help rebuild my state and my community.

PO: Assuming you succeed and truimph at the polls, what do you envisage will be the primary issue on the agenda to tackle, and how will your approach to finding effective solutions make effect change?

Ibe: The primary issue I will tackle will be Healthcare and youth unemployment. I will address youth unemployment through pursuance of industrialisation of Ohafia/Arochukwu. I will maintain existing Healthcare facilities, and also build new ones if necessary, ensuring my people get the best healthcare treatment when needed. I will ensure the schools are well equipped every child must be given the opportunity to learn in a conducive environment, with full access to various learning resources and equipments.

PO: How do you intend to maintain your fortitude and perseverance throughout the political process? By any stretch of imagination, this will be a labour intensive undertaking...

Ibe: There is an outline of my goal, strategies and timelines. I am working with a team of very efficient professionals and individuals whom are able to break my campaign goals into small steps daily.  I schedule quiet times to myself to think and reassess.

Lastly, I have a very supportive network of family and friends who believe in me, and keep encouraging me to forge ahead.
